In the early afternoon of August 4th, 2018, Kiera Bergman disappeared.

Kiera’s family doesn’t know what to believe of the twisted stories by those close to Kiera in Glendale, AZ, where she had only been living for several months.

Kiera Bergman is 19 years old,

Kiera is biracial, she is 5’3” tall, she weighs about 145 lbs, she had black hair and brown eyes, and in most of her pictures, she is wearing glasses. We don’t know if she had them on when she went missing.

Late 2001 ended in turmoil, sadness, and confusion for two families in the Rockingham County, NC area.

That year saw the separate disappearances of their loved ones, both mothers and both still desperately missed to this day.

Their disappearances were never investigated with any sort of effort on the part of the only agency responsible for doing so.

What happened to Michele Lynn Hundley Smith and Angela Whalen Hudson?

Why didn’t the authorities ever try to find out what happened to them?

Is this the best the good people of Rockingham County can expect from their public servants at the Sheriff’s Office?

On March 17th, 2018, Ashley Meiss left her home for a run. She left everything behind and never returned. Ashley is an Army veteran, and she is reported to suffer from PTSD.

May 7th, 2017 was supposed to be a day of celebration for 22 year old Akia Eggleston. She was eager to reveal the gender of her unborn baby at a special baby shower, and even though her pregnancy was high-risk with her baby in a breech position, she was busy readying herself to welcome friends and family to this joyous event.

But Akia never made it to the baby shower she’d already spent hundreds of dollars to plan. She never made it to her other appointments that week either. When Akia failed to pick her daughter up from a family member’s house, that is when Akia’s loved ones knew something beyond her control had happened to her.

This story will detail everything we know about Akia and her disappearance. Who would want to hurt Akia, a doting mom, beloved friend and family member, and a young lady with dreams for a bright future with a new boyfriend and father of her unborn baby?

Akia’s family has put all their faith in the investigatory sophistication of the Baltimore Police Department. Will BPD bring Akia and her baby home or bring a criminal to justice?

In the mid-2000s, two men suspiciously disappeared right after a local ranch owner becamed angered at each of them. The first, Donald Cavanaugh, disappeared in March of 2005. He was the uncle of the temperamental James Denoyer, on whose 20 acre Californai ranch several horses were languishing, and after securing 14 of Donald’s horses, James decided he no longer had a need for the 63 year old heart patient.

The second man, artist and metal worker David Neily, was introduced to Denoyer by his son, Ryan, who was employed by Denoyer’s construction business. David disappeared in April of 2006 during an investigation of Denoyer for animal cruelty. David’s family reported that Denoyer had threatened Ryan Neily, and had accused 69 year old David of alterting Animal Services to the squalid conditions under which the horses lived and died on Denoyer’s ranch.

The men disappeared after each had told someone they were on their way to the ranch to retreive their items from Denoyer’s property, and there has never been a trace of them seen or heard from since.

In the early morning hours of April 27th, 1980, Judith Rahn reported that her 14 year old daughter, Laureen, was missing. She was supposed to be enjoying a fun night with a friend, but after the friend went to sleep, Laureen disappeared.

What happened to Laureen? There are more bizarre theories than one would ever imagine. Through it all, Judith has never stopped believing that her daughter is alive, and someday she will see her again.

September 8th, 2015 was a normal day in Orem, Utah except for one thing. That was last anyone ever saw or heard from Emily Quijano or her young son, Gabriel Almiron. Emily’s boyfriend, Christopher Poulson told police and anyone else who would listen that he had to kick Emily out because he couldn’t tolerate her use of drugs in their shared apartment.

That might have been the end of this missing persons story if it had only been Emily who was missing, but cops had a three year old child to find. That all but assured a criminal investigation and the involvement of the FBI.

This case has not yet been completed. Let us know what you think! Have authorities found their killer? Where are the bodies of Emily and Gabriel?

After almost three months, Natalie has been discovered alive and is now with family, so we have removed this episode out of respect for her privacy.

Many thanks to all who shared!

According to Natalie’s family, the money raised from the gofundme was claimed by an anonymous person as a reward for informing the family of Natalie’s possible whereabouts!

This is a happy ending and a successful use of crowdfunding and community organizing! The facebook page, fliers, gofundme, appeals to the public via local media, and constant advocacy on the part of Natalie’s loved ones made the difference.

Welcome to the fourth episode of our series on the I-95 corridor in North Carolina.

Someone spent years preying on the vulnerable women of East Rocky Mount, NC. After several women were found murdered, and one still missing, authorities finally prosecuted a suspect for one of the murders, that of Tara Nicholson.

The rest of the cases are still open and up to $20,000 in reward money continues to be offered for information leading to the ultimate conviction of the killer of the women of Edgecombe County, many of which were dumped off Seven Bridges Road.
